Frequently Asked Questions
Here you will find answers to basic questions about how STRIPE operates, how we can help you, how to contact us for an investigation, etc.
Q: How does STRIPE approach investigating paranormal events? A: STRIPE performs investigations in the attempt to disprove paranormal events. We use the scientific method and base our conclusions on the evidence we collect.
Q: Will STRIPE accept compensation, solicited or otherwise? A: STRIPE provides its services to the community free of charge so as to make them accessible to everyone. To avoid any conflict of this principle, STRIPE does not accept donations.
Q: Why does STRIPE investigate paranormal events? A: Each member of STRIPE accepted an invitation to join for his or her own reasons. As a group, we investigate the paranormal to help people and to try to find answers. We also find investigating the paranormal a very interesting endeavor.
Q: Strange things are happening in my house. How can STRIPE help me? A: The first thing STRIPE can do is provide answers. Many seemingly paranormal occurrences have perfectly mundane causes. If there’s something more going on, STRIPE can capture evidence of this as well.
Q: I want STRIPE to come in and perform an investigation at my house. How do I arrange it? A: The easiest way to contact STRIPE is via email. The email addresses of our Lead Investigators and Case Manager are located on our contacts page. Simply send an email to one of our contact people and request information. Be sure to include your telephone number. Please give STRIPE a brief description of what you’re experiencing and when or how soon you’d like us to come in. Our case manager will call you to obtain more information and arrange the investigation.
Q: I’ve contacted STRIPE and arranged an investigation. What happens now? A: If STRIPE is contacted for an investigation, our team will discretely arrive promptly on time and request a tour of the premises to be shown any hot spots or areas the client wishes investigated. After the tour, our Tech Crew will set up the equipment and begin the investigation. Naturally, every investigation will be different and tailored to the needs and wishes of our clients. Upon completion of the investigation, any evidence captured will be reviewed and revealed to the client in a follow-up visit, usually by the Lead Investigator and Case Manager.
Q: I have a spirit in my house that doesn’t bother me, but I’d like to know more about it. How does STRIPE regard spirits? A: STRIPE treats all spirits with respect, regardless of their disposition. STRIPE does not provoke spirits in the attempt to force manifestation or communication.
Q: My house ghost is usually very active, yet during the investigation nothing happened. Why? A: Intelligent spirits have their own agendas and do not perform on cue. STRIPE cannot guarantee that hard evidence of paranormal activity will be captured despite our best efforts. Because we do not provoke, spirits may play coy or simply not wish to communicate with us. The investigation itself may disrupt a sprit’s routine enough to drive it into hiding. Due to the unpredictable nature of the paranormal, STRIPE assumes no responsibility for any change in the level of activity before, during or after an investigation.
Q: I hear footsteps walking across my upstairs floor every day at 5 o’clock. Do I have a ghost in my house? A: An activity that occurs on a regular basis, for example at the same time every day, usually indicates a residual haunting. This is an event that replays itself like a video recording on a regular basis. It is not aware of your presence or even of its own and should be considered harmless.
